At Frenchies Shop, our highest priority is the health, temperament, and lifelong well-being of every French Bulldog puppy we raise. We devote extensive time and care to raising well-adjusted puppies and matching them with loving, responsible homes. However, we also understand that unexpected situations can arise. This policy outlines our approach should you become unable to keep the Frenchies Shop puppy you adopted.
Our Commitment to Lifelong Well-Being
We consider every French Bulldog born at Frenchies Shop part of our extended family. Our responsibility does not end when a puppy leaves our home—we remain committed to each dog’s safety, health, and happiness for life. If, for any reason, you are unable to provide a permanent home for your Frenchies Shop puppy or adult dog, we are here to help.
Initial Adjustment Period & Return Options (Within 72 Hours)
French Bulldogs are affectionate, people-oriented dogs that require companionship and proper care. We encourage all families to consider the responsibility of owning a Frenchie before adopting. However, we understand that sometimes a placement may not be the perfect fit.
If, within 72 hours of bringing your puppy home, you determine that you cannot provide a suitable environment, please contact us immediately. During this initial period, the following options are available:
1. Return for Rehoming (Partial Refund Consideration)
You may return the puppy to Frenchies Shop. If the puppy is returned in the same healthy condition as when adopted (verified by our veterinarian), a partial refund may be offered. A $350 restocking and care fee will be deducted to cover administrative costs, veterinary evaluation, and temporary care.
Partial refund approval and amount depend on the puppy’s condition and are at the discretion of Frenchies Shop.
2. Exchange Consideration (Case-by-Case)
In rare situations, if another available puppy may be a more suitable match for your lifestyle, we may consider an exchange. This depends on availability and compatibility. Price differences may apply.
Rehoming Assistance (Beyond 72 Hours)
After the 72-hour adjustment period, no refunds or exchanges will be provided. At this point, our focus shifts to ensuring the dog’s long-term well-being.
If at any time during the dog’s life you find that you cannot keep your French Bulldog, we require that you contact us first. We will:
1. Assist in Rehoming
We will help you find a properly screened and responsible new home. Frenchies Shop maintains an interest list and trusted network for this purpose.
2. Accept Return (No Refund)
If direct rehoming is not possible, we will accept the dog back into our care (transport at the owner’s expense) to ensure safety and placement in an appropriate home.
No refund or compensation will be issued in this situation—our priority is the dog’s welfare.
Under no circumstances may a Frenchies Shop dog be surrendered to a shelter, rescue, pet shop, research facility, or given/sold to an unknown third party.
Doing so violates our adoption agreement.
Conditions for Return (Within 72 Hours)
For returns during the initial 72-hour window to be eligible for a partial refund or exchange:

The puppy must be returned promptly after notifying us.

The puppy must be in the same physical and behavioral condition as when adopted.

The puppy must be free from illness, injury, neglect, or stress caused after leaving our care.

All original documents (health records, registration papers if applicable, etc.) must be returned.

A veterinary examination by Frenchies Shop will verify the puppy’s condition.
Process for Initiating a Return or Rehoming
